INDIA FRANK’S MILITARY FORCES MEDICAL CENTRE

Fiji Military personnel requiring urgent medical treatment for ailments that cannot be treated here have been forced to go to India to seek medical attention.The current stand by the Australian and New Zealand governments are hurting, as PM Clarke once stated.

Captain Amelia Tadu has gone to have a replacement valve job done. She was at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before her trip trying to enlist their assistance to request the Australian Government to relax their stance on humanitarian grounds so she can get treated at one of their hospitals. The Australian Government, through their official representative here, turned down the request. Hence her trip India.

Commander Brian Fischer who took over from Francis Kean as Commander for the Fiji Navy is also in India with his wife Mary. He has gone to seek urgent medical treatment for a chest ailment.

Even Voreqe has chest problems. It is believed that he has a weak chest but is not able to seek out the treatment he so badly needs to get it fixed because of the travel bans put in place by Aust and NZ. (He probably doesn’t trust our Indian friends enough to go under the knife there) He has also had a few fainting spells in recent months as was highlighted by WFC.

Recently, military personnel have been dying left, right and centre. A good number of them have succumbed to chest ailments. All these have been swept under the carpet and the illegal regime has done their level best to ensure that nobody in Fiji gets wind of what’s happening in the corridors of power. If word gets out that all is not rosy and hunky dory in Wonderland, it will serve to strengthen the resolve of those who detest this regime and are working hard to ensure a quick return to democracy and the rule of law and at the same time demoralize those whose very jobs and existence depend on them keeping their act together. By the look of things, they are beginning to come apart at the seams.

We look forward to the day when once again freedom will reign in our beloved Fiji.
