CHAUDHRY ORDERED RAJESHWAR SINGH TO SIGN DEAL

Information has surfaced that Mahen Chaudhry and Rajeshwar Singh have a “silent side agreement” resulting in the signing of that Memorandum of Understanding by FPSA and FTU striking out their plans to go on a national strike scheduled for 19th July.

Rajeshwar Singh is a known Fiji Labor Party supporter and so is the FTU guy. Their enthused effort to sign their members off and settle at 1% of their 5% pay-cut by the junta is a pathetic negotiation outcome by the two unionists. They have failed badly in promoting the real interest of their members.

Any negotiator will tell you that settling at less than 50% of the disputed status quo is hardly anything to be proud of or to celebrate. The orchestrated media relations exercise laid out to mark the signing ceremony was soo artificial and with the presence of yet another coup apologist and beneficiary, Felix Anthony in the media conference, one can be excused for thinking that it was a Fiji Labor Party press conference.
