SHAMIMA ALI STOPPED AT AIRPORT

Shamima Ali, Fiji Human Rights Commissioner and a lady well known for her hands-out approach in protecting Fiji people from human rights abuses was stopped last night enroute to Brisbane.

Like many before her, Shamima felt like a criminal after she was asked by the Immigration people to step aside but was not given any certain explanation as to why she was stopped.

WFC has been reliably told that the new wave of travel bans on those marked as anti-coup is a result of Frank’s personal involvement by giving names of many high profile members of the public to Director Immigration for immediate keying into their computer system.

Sources say the travel bans imposed by some members of the international community is taking its toll on the IG, hence their retaliation by banning Fij’s own citizens from travelling out of Fiji.

It is a tit-for-tat with the idea of imprisoning these innocent civilians in Fiji and hoping that they will be the ones who will negotiate with the international community to relax their travel bans and other smart sanctions so they could be released to travel freely.

WFC thinks this regime’s plans will not work and will back-fire soon.
