DIGITAKI’S INFLUENTIAL CONTACTS A WORRY TO JUNTA
WFC sources say one of the unexplained reasons behind Laisa Digitaki’s travel ban yesterday is her influential contacts in Australia.
Our sources from within say that the military intelligence is aware of her contacts in Canberra’s Parliament House and how she can influence their opinion on what is really happening in Fiji. Like Michael Green, Digitaki is viewed by the military regime as misleading the international community and is working against them.
They say that Digitaki and John Howard’s Liberal party election strategist, Mark Textor, masterminded the last leg of the SDL election campaign. The insiders heard that Digitaki and Textor single-handedly reviewed and implemented powerful messages aimed at indigenous Fijians and applied their controversial push polling techniques on the eve of the 2006 election.
Some sources who worked for Digitaki and Textor during the 2006 election say the two “had a mission” and “did not muck around”. They said they converted the JJ’s On The Park Boardroom into an SDL “war room” and “went for the kill”.
Sources said the two are members of the Australian Liberal Party general election “war room” team. They teamed up again in the last Fiji election and provided their services to the SDL party.
Word is that the military wants to cut off Digitaki from her influencial network seeing them as a threat to their plans to install their own prefered government, THEMSELVES.
