ANOTHER REASON WHY MAHEN HATES TOURISM
Another reason behind all his moves against the Tourism industry is discussed as follows;
He wants to create the urgency to address land issues that are causing problems to the sugar industry. Whilst we sympathise with the plight of the sugar cane farmers, on the other hand Chaudhry and his plotters are using the issue to bring about changes to the land holding system. If that means taking away Fijian lands than that will be so. The urgency to do so must be created.
The alternative source of income (tourism) must be eliminated or seen as a hopeless alternative.
The leaders of our nation must see through this and ensure that we do not lose out on the tourism industry. It is an industry for both Fijians and Indians. If we are to shift whole heartedly into this market than the urgency or pressures created to change the Fijian land holding system will be watered down (if not eradicated).
What is really saddening is the fact that Frank and his boys are walking blindly and straight into the trap. Even more so that they are even putting in the missing pieces of the jigsaw puzzle (example: Expulsion of the NZ high commissioner.) for the Mahen and his mob.
Frank must be woken up to this hindsight. I am not sure if he still cares.
