MILITARY REGIME DROPS CASE AGAINST PRO-DEMOCRACY FIGHTERS

Our WFC sources from the court house just confirmed that the military regime has chickened out from their case against the pro-democracy Fiji flag bearers who were arrested outside the Great Council of Chiefs meeting venue in Suva after 5/12.

Pita Waqavonovono,Jackie Koroi, Turu, Unaisi Dumaru and Laisa Digitaki appeared in court awhile ago with their Munroe Leys lawyer.

Insiders said the 5 were acquitted after the state lawyers realised that the case was a “no case”. The 5 are also part of pro-democracy advocates who erected the well known Lami Democracy Shrine that was later trashed by the military. Police investigation reports into the trashing aired by Fiji TV confirmed that it was indeed the military who entered the private property by force and damaged the building.

The 5 were also put on travel ban and were attacked again by the military with allegations that they are behind the freedom blogs like thy blog.

The dropping of this important case means that this military regime is beginning to realise that they will never win against peaceful freedom and democracy fighters. If anything, their heavy-handed approach towards these peaceful civilians is becoming the very thing that will undo them.

WFC says - The WFC team salute Pita, Jackie, Turu, Una and Laisa for their courage and we again apologize to them for the great incovenience we’re creating to their safety in our resolve to peacefully resist Frank’s coup through this blog forum. Long live democracy in Fiji!
